Shipping, Returns, and Exchanges

 

ORDER CONFIRMATION

A valid email address is required during checkout. Your order is subject to verification and approval prior to shipping. Once your order is approved, you will receive an email confirmation from our secure payment server. When your order is shipped, an email will be sent including the tracking number(s) and the contact information for the shipping carrier.

 

NO SALES TAX

A sales tax will not be charged for orders being shipped outside the State of Utah. Utah residents will be charged the appropriate tax for your area.

 

APPROVED PAYMENT METHODS

 

DirectRangeHoods.com accepts all major Credit and Debit Cards including, MasterCard, VISA, American Express and Discover Card. Verification of your billing address is required. We also accept a personal check, business check, Money order or PayPal.  COD orders will not be accepted.

 

Mail order payments must include: Name, shipping address, valid email, phone number, Product Model number, type of mount and size. Items cannot be shipped to a P.O. Box.

Prior to shipping your product, checks or Money Orders must be processed and cleared.

 

SHIPPING

All items are shipped via FedEx Ground or Freight.

GROUND SHIPMENTS:  Most in-stock items will be shipped via FedEx Ground within 1-3 business days, excluding holidays. Orders placed Friday after noon MST will be shipped the following week.

FREIGHT SHIPMENTS: Items requiring freight shipment included those too heavy for ground shipping and oversized items.  These items will be shipped within 5-7 business days, excluding holidays. Orders placed Friday after noon MST will be shipped the following week.

 

The freight carrier will contact you to set up a delivery date and time. Please remember that all freight items are delivered curbside only. An individual must be present at the time of delivery to sign for the shipment.

Once your package is transferred to the shipper, DirectRangeHoods.com is not responsible if the package gets lost or stolen. Immediately contact Direct Range Hoods if your shipment has not arrived within 2 business day of the estimated date of delivery.

** Please check the model number before ordering to see if there are any shipping delays or special circumstances regarding the shipping of that item.

It is the customer's responsibility to consult their ventilation specialist prior to purchase in order to assure that the product will fit its intended application, as well as comply with local building codes.

 

EXCHANGES AND RETURNS

Prior to shipping, all Direct Range Hoods products are individually inspected to verify that they leave our facility in brand-new condition. We recommend that all customers thoroughly inspect the packages immediately upon delivery, and test the item(s) for proper functionality prior to installation. Damage must be reported within 14 days from date of receipt. Damage claim returns will not be accepted after 14 days from date of delivery.

Please contact Direct Range Hoods within 14 days to report any damage or problems by calling us toll free 1-877-901-5530 Monday through Friday between 8:30 and 5:00 MST or email us at support@DirectRangeHoods.com.

All returns or exchanges must have prior authorization from DirectRangeHoods.com before returning. DO NOT install the hood.

 

HOW TO PROCESS AN EXCHANGE OR RETURN

All exchanges and returns must have prior approval from Direct Range Hoods. The product MUST be returned in new condition, free from scratches, dents or damage with all parts, chimney, accessories and hardware. Please keep all packing materials and the box as it is required for return shipping. Under no circumstance should you install the hood if you intend to return it.

Be aware that only ONE undamaged exchange per purchase will be allowed.

 

UNDAMAGED EXCHANGE OR RETURN WITHIN 14 DAYS

Please follow these steps for both an exchange or return:

1)  Notify Direct Range Hoods within 14 days from date of delivery with your request  for either an exchange or return.  Call toll free 1-877-901-5530 Monday through Friday from 8:30 to 5:00 MST, or email us at support@DirectRangeHoods.com.

2)  If you are exchanging, include the model number and size of the new Range Hood.

3)  Once we approve your request, carefully repackage the product in the same manner it was received using the original packing materials, Styrofoam panels and in the original box. All parts, chimney, accessories and hardware must be included.

4)  For undamaged returns, we are required to email you the return shipping label, and you are responsible for scheduling a pick up with FedEx (You can reach FedEx at 1-800-463-3339), or dropping your range hood off at your local FedEx location.

 

For Returns:  

Once your Vent Hood has been received and inspected by Direct Range Hoods, we will issue you a credit for a return to the same account the purchase was made. When paid with a Credit Card or PayPal, a direct credit will be made to that account. For checks, please allow 30 days from date of return for processing.

 

For Exchange:  

If you are exchanging for another Range Hood, once your item has been received and inspected by Direct Range Hoods, your replacement Hood will then be shipped out to you. Depending on the value of your replacement hood, either a credit will be issued or the additional cost will be charged to your account.

GROUND SHIPPING:  Direct Range Hoods will pay for the return ground shipping when requested and approved within 14 days of receipt.

FREIGHT SHIPPING:  When product is oversized or too heavy for ground shipments, they are sent as freight. If your item was shipped as freight, it must be returned as freight and the customer assumes the cost of return shipping. Customer is required to INSURE THE ITEM.

 

UNDAMAGED EXCHANGE OR RETURN IN 15  to 30 DAYS

Please follow these steps for both an exchange or return:

Items returned after 14 days but before 30 days for a refund, will be charged a 20% restocking fee.If exchanging your Range Hood, the 20% restocking fee will be waived. Product must be received in perfect condition, free from scratches, dents or any other damage and include all parts, chimney, accessories and hardware. Customer assumes the cost of return shipping with either an exchange or return and must insure the package.

2)  If you are exchanging, include the model number and size of the new Range Hood.

3)  Once we approve your request, carefully repackage the product in the same manner it was received using the original packing materials, Styrofoam panels and in the original box. All parts, chimney, accessories and hardware must be included.

4)   Customer makes shipping arrangements, assumes the cost of return and must INSURE the package. Package must be protected from the weather and in a secure location. If damage occurs during return shipping, it is your responsibility to file the claim.

5)   For Returns:

Once Direct Range Hoods has received, inspected and found the product to be in new condition, with all parts, chimney, accessories and hardware included, a refund will be issued using the original purchase payment method . The refund will reflect a 20% restocking charge as well as the delivery shipping charge. When paid with a Credit Card or PayPal, a direct credit will be made to that account. For checks, please allow 30 days from date of return for processing.

 

For Exchange:

Once Direct Range Hoods has received, inspected and found your original Range Hood to be in new condition with all parts, chimney, accessories and hardware included, the replacement hood will be shipped out to you. For Range Hoods 42” or larger, the cost of shipping the new exchanged hood will be the responsibility of the customer. Depending on the value of your replacement hood, either a credit will be issued or the additional cost will be charged to your account.

NOTE:   Once an exchange or return is approved, the customer is responsible to have the product repackaged and available for pickup by the shipping carrier. Package must be protected from the weather and in a secure location. If after 3 attempts, the carrier is unable to pickup the package, the customer will be responsible to arrange return shipping and must pay for all return shipping charges.

The customer has a maximum of 30 days to have the product picked up and returned. If the customer is unable or unwilling to return the product within that time frame, any return, exchange or refund will be denied. Direct Range Hoods is not responsible for damaged, missing, incorrect parts or orders after 30 days from date of receipt.

DAMAGED RETURN OR EXCHANGE WITHIN 14 DAYS

For our Money Back Guarantee to be valid and receive your refund, youMUST inspect and test the product IMMEDIATELYupon receiving it to determine any possible shipping damage. Unpack and thoroughly test the Range Hood by plugging it in to ensure the blower, lights and all features are working properly. Customer has 14 days from date of receipt to report any damage and return it. Do not install the Range Hood if it is damaged. Damaged product will not be accepted  for Return after 14 days.

Please follow these steps to return or exchange a damaged Range Hood:

1)  Please notify Direct Range Hoods of any damage within the 14 day time period allowed via email at support@directrangehoods.com  or call toll free 1-877-901-5530 between 8:30 - 5:00 MST Monday through Friday.

2)  For Direct Range Hoods to approve your damage claim, you must take a picture clearly showing the damage and email it with a detailed description of any damage to support@directrangehoods.com . Please include your information and the order number.

3)  Once we approve your damage claim, although the item is damaged, you must carefully repackage the product in the same manner it was received using the original packing materials, Styrofoam panels and in the original box. All parts, chimney, accessories and hardware must be included.

4)  We will make arrangements with the original carrier for return pickup. If the product is not picked up for return within the 14 day period, customer is deemed to have accepted the shipment.

5)  Once your damaged Range Hood is received and inspected, you will either be sent out a new replacement hood or credited with a full refund depending on your needs.

Refund credits are issued in the original payment  manner they were made. Direct credit will be issued to Credit, Debit card or PayPal accounts. Please allow 30 days for processing refund checks when original payment was made by check or Money Order.

 

REFUND PROCESS

For complete details and to ensure a proper refund, please follow the instructions found under the section that applies to you under EXCHANGES AND RETURNS.

A brief overview of the process:

To receive your full refund with our 100% Money Back Guarantee you have 14 days to have your return approved.  Contact support@directrangehoods.com to report damage, request an exchange or return. All damaged items must be reported within 14 days, no exceptions and will not be accepted after that time.

Any UNDAMAGED return reported and approved between 15 to 30 days from date of original receipt will be charged a 20% restocking fee. Customer will also be required to make return shipping arrangements, insure the package and pay for return shipping.

With ANY approved return up to 30 days, the customer must have the package available to be picked up by the Shipping Carrier in a safe location and protected from weather. Carrier will only make 3 attempts to pickup the package. Thereafter, the customer is required to arrange pickup and incurs the entire cost of insuring and shipping.  

Range Hoods must be returned to Direct Range Hoods with all parts, chimney, accessories, hardware and in new condition, free from dents, scratches or any kind of damage.

Refund credits are issued in the original payment manner they were made. Direct credit will be issued to Credit, Debit card or PayPal accounts. Please allow 30 days for processing refund checks when original payment was made by check or Money Order.

No refund is offered for the following:

  • Range Hoods that have been installed or custom cut.

  • Product not returned in original box with packing materials.

  • Missing any parts, accessories, hardware or the chimney.

  • Unreported damage within the 14 day time period.

  • Product NOT picked up within 30 days.

DirectRangeHoods.com is not responsible for missing, damaged incorrect parts or orders after 30 days from date of delivery. No refund is available after 30 days.
